Preserving fragile family history by hand

From brittle silver gelatin prints to faded Kodachrome slides, every original is handled individually under diffused lighting with meticulous optical precision and zero batch shortcuts.

Preservation Disciplines

Four pathways to renewal

Flatbed Capture

High-resolution print scanning

Fragile paper prints up to 11x14 inches are captured frame-by-frame on calibrated glass at up to 1200 DPI, preserving micro-textures without mechanical rollers.

Film & Transparency

35mm slide and negative digitising

Transparencies and strip negatives are gently dusted with anti-static compressed air, then scanned individually at true optical density to reveal shadow details.

Digital Restoration

Tear and crease reconstruction

Deep fold lines, water rings, and missing corners are hand-painted pixel by pixel. We reconstruct lost textures without artificial blurring or automated smoothing.

Tonal Recovery

Gentle color revival

Faded cyan-heavy color photographs from the 1960s through 1980s are color-balanced to match authentic original print chemistry and skin tones.
